Biosphere park Lungau
Come and see the natural diversity for yourself!
In July 2012 UNESCO officially declared the Salzburger Lungau together with the Kärntner Nockbergen as "Biosphere park - model region for sustaining development".
What makes this UNESCO award so valuable is the fact that the Lungau holiday region naturally became so: as original habitat for a rich ecological diversity and distinctive traditions.
The people here care for their envirnment. They want to preserve the variegated nature and culture, and at the same time share it with their guests.
